Author Takeovers

Tonight, join us in our Facebook group for a double whammy of Author Takeovers. First, the amazing Marie James will be around at 7PM MST/8PM CST/9PM EST (S-n-M Book Blog). That is going to be a guaranteed good freaking time and you will be devastatingly disappointed if you miss it, so just… don’t miss it.

Have you read Scarlett’s book, Time Will Tell? I haven’t had the pleasure of reading it yet, but MaRanda and our bestestestestest (she deserves every single one of those estestes), Kristina tell me great things, so I left MaRanda to the reviewing today.

I've professed my undying love before. But it goes without saying (well it could, but this is our blog... so I'm saying it anyway) how amazing Scarlett is.

Scarlett, oh Scarlett... how do I love thee... let me, oh wait I got distracted. But seriously, the inspiration and hilarity that is Scarlett Wells... I beyond adore you, so much.

I kept waiting and waiting for your book to arrive. And when it did?? I was nervous, I wanted to love it so much! Much to my relief and enjoyment, I truly did love (do love) Time Will Tell.

Viola and Emmett. I just can't say enough how much they pulled at my heart strings!

Viola and Emmett meet when she is in kindergarten. What a sweet age to be too. She's sitting on the swing and he comes over. They had me right there. I felt like it was the sweetest and cutest introduction.

BUT... they grow up, life happens. They go through so much, learning together and apart from each other.

No story is complete without someone making mistakes. And boy are those mistakes epic, but so vital to the story. Life lessons, making them who they are.

This story is so well written. So well done. It's impossible to not feel ALL THE FEELS in this book.

Ms. Wells, you made me speechless (and puffy eyed!!!).

The world of Indie romance is one that I was thrust into (*snicker*) when I read Carnage (this you know). I never thought that I would love reading smut as much as I truly do. I’ve always loved reading, but my preferred genre was typically YA and murder mystery. James Patterson is, and always will be one of my favorite authors of all time(Mary, Mary is in my top 5 books, ever).

There’s a point to this, I promise.

Indie authors give such a big piece of themselves to their readers. I’ve only been a part of this amazing community for about 6 months (MaRanda for much longer), but I’ve already had the fortune of becoming (I’d like to believe) friends with a few of these talented authors. One of my favorite quotes describes it perfectly. “There are no faster or firmer friendships than those formed between people who love the same books.” – Irving Stone

I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this entire community. I’ve made some great friends along the way. Thanks to incredible openness and accepting nature (and MaRanda & Kristina), I get to add Scarlett to this list. She seems to have embraced all of my awkward quirkiness and we’re clumsy soul sisters, so she’s stuck with me now.
